5D software is participating in EU projects

We have participated in several projects financed from the sources of the European Union.

PHARE projects:

The Guide to the World of Occupations 1.0 (1997) ("GWO")

The integrated computer programme is dedicated to information and advisory centres of labour offices. The program is developed for pupils, students and applicants for occupation or re-qualification. It is operated at the labour offices by self service or with an advisor for the job selection.

Electronic Standards Development (CZ 9503-01-01-03)

The full text processing of the CSN Standards for the Czech Office for Standards. More than 130, 000 text pages have been processed (various letter fonts, mathematical symbols, tables, patterns, equations, pictures), scanning OCR, batch processing using the own programming tools, control system providing high precision of the final text - the percentage of errors was <0,35 per mille, the prevention of interchangeability of individual documents, filing of newly published standards, search software.

The Guide to the World of Occupations 2.0 (1999-2001)

The objective of the project was development of the multi media databases of the information on the occupation in three national versions (Czech, Slovak and Greek). The Czech version of the programme GWO 1.0 produced in 1997 with the financial support of PHARE was used as a base of this project.

The project was completed in May 2001 and the computer programme was immediately put into operation at the labour offices. In September 2001 the commercial Czech version of the programme GWO dedicated to pupils of elementary schools was produced. The programme was sent to about 3, 500 elementary schools in the Czech Republic.

The Guide to the World of Occupations 3.0 (2001-2003)

The project develops the former versions of GWO. The number of described occupations will be extended, new photos and dialogues will be added and the most important improvement - there will be versions in 10 languages. The Czech, Slovak and Greek versions will be complemented with national versions for the countries: Lithuania, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Spain, Italy, Romania and Greece. The English version will offer the full database of the occupations with all the occupations of the participating countries.
